Over 500 clowns from different countries started today in Mexico City the XIV International Clown Convention , which has among its core a call laugh non-stop for five minutes.
The four-day convention, organized by the Brotherhood of Clowns Latinos and supported by Mexican cultural agencies, will balloon twisting workshops and competitions, mime, acting, costumes, children's games, parades and face painting, among others.
In global crisis, whose soil the minds of many people, clowns gather at the Monument to the Revolution to laugh and laugh at the "Five Minutes Record Laughter," a sort of " laughter therapy" to relieve stress, according to organizers.
The congress of clowns, also known as Feria de la Risa, brings together representatives from countries like Peru, El Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua and the United States, and Mexico.
"Our goal is to seek the integration of the clowns in the cultural circuits, upgrading our professionals within the various techniques to accomplish this task, and offers lectures and workshops, face painting, balloon twisting, clothing and performing skills, "Thomas told reporters Morales Lozada, aka Llantom, one of the organizers. The convention has the support of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico.
