CELEBRATE SAN ISIDRO
Last Friday we celebrate San Isidro in school. We had a little festival in the courtyard, with waffles and lemonade, as tradition dictates, and danced the schottische in full sun. This year the teachers decided not to have the presence of parents to have very little time to prepare activities.

On 9 May, Preschool students went to the Farm School "El Palomar" in Chapinería. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing the animals, especially those who could play like the goat, rabbit or calf. Also mounted on ponies and did a workshop on making bread. We had a great day!

VI were held in the Sporting Events for Equality and Interculturalism from 4 public schools in the neighborhood (mayor of Mostoles, Jovellanos, Bartolomé Cossio and ours). During these three days alumn @ s of all schools participating in such cooperative games, in order to live igaualdad learning and intercultural values. Thanks to all for helping teachers and congratulations to all participants. It was a great success!

The students in grades 5 and 6 were to Parque Juan Carlos I canoeing. The activity was very motivating, came happy and the way they met with the penta-Tour de France champion Miguel Indurain.

EXHIBITION AT THE CULTURAL CENTER CHURRUCA
Churruca In the Cultural Center you can visit an exhibition of works by students entitled "Ecosystems." We have recreated some of the ecosystem that has worked each of the cycles and can see drawings, collages and texts of all courses in the center. Already started this experiment last year and somehow, we share the work and effort throughout the course with the locals. And we know a little more clear.

Another year, I went to the Salon of Comic ...
This year the theme was zombies, go ... it seems that the zombies are now fashionable, having become famous TV series "The Walking Dead, in turn inspired by the comic of the same name ...
There were several exhibitions with images of zombies, some were parodies, such as a Superlopez Zombie, and also put trailers pelicuras zombies of all kinds ...

Apart dedicated an exhibition of 50 years of Tarzan ... Stands and which had inspired the upcoming films of comic characters ... Captain Thunder, Transformers 3, X-Men, ...
could not miss the booth of El Jueves, as always of the most funny and original ...
not miss the imperial guard!
That if this show of comic I will remember for a lifetime momentazo! After 7 years,, we finally have gotten D. Francisco Ibañez sign me! :-D

In an interesting article, published in the newspaper El Peruano on April 6 - a proven and respected professor at the Catholic University of Peru raises valid and necessary reflections on the need to boost the country an intense campaign to promote reading.
rightly warns the professor that is not enough for the person, anyone, your age, learn to read and write at an elementary level.
even recognizes the validity of the Unesco report on the success of the literacy program of the present government.
But it goes further, claiming that we must work in promoting reading comprehension. Ie: not enough read, we must understand and analyze what is read.
In a passage from his article the university teachers expressed surprise and protest "sms language" used by our young people to communicate over the Internet and cell phone. It reads:
"Particularly in the current context in which is misspelled and in a hurry (when writing, because privilege speech), with abundant and even incomprehensible" abbreviations "(did hieroglyphics?) Because of the Internet, social networks and text messaging ("TQM" and "cdt" for "I love you" and "take care" "salu2" and "100pre" "health" and "always", "MNN" and "tmp" to "tomorrow" and "no", "YLS" for "and you know", "xoxo" for "kisses and hugs" and yet among English speakers, the curious "fyi" and "asap" instead of "for your information" or "as soon as possible" instead of "for your information" or "as soon as possible.") So, things "NEN" I do not understand! "

Phlegm In The Throat In Newborn
CONCERT TRIBUTE TO LATIN AMERICA
Students 4, 5 and 6 we have today at the National Auditorium of Music (chamber music hall), a concert titled "Four for Tango" sponsored by the Fundacion Caja Madrid. It was a concert tribute to popular music and Latin American art and has been played by a string quartet consisting of two violins, a viola and a bass. We have heard danzones, tangos, cats, and other parts candombes Cuba, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. The concert was very well played though, perhaps, has become a bit boring.

You see in the pictures. Students in grades 5 and Primary 6 pass it "big" in physical education classes. Not only skate like the pros, but practice and mazaball hockey skates. At school we have, no doubt with good spaces, good material and above all excellent teachers that make the E. Physical's favorite subject of our students.

Albina Herranz Martinez, the caretaker of our school, is retiring today. Has spent nearly two school in the center and all the teachers, children and other staff have been delighted with his friendliness and willingness to work. From here I wish you much pleasure in this new phase of his life and send you a big hug.
